Riceton is a hamlet in the Rural Municipality of Lajord No. 128, about 35 kilometres southeast of Regina. It sits along Highway 306, just west of where that road meets Highway 622.
The community's first grain elevator went up in 1913, marking the early days of the settlement. The name comes from J. S. Rice, who owned the land on which the town was incorporated. By 1968, Riceton had grown to a population of 128.
